The 2021–22 Mercer Bears men’s basketball team represent Mercer University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season. The Bears, led by third-year head coach Greg Gary, play their home games at Hawkins Arena in Macon, Georgia as a member of the Southern Conference.
American college basketball season
The Bears finished the 2020–21 season 18–11, 8–9 in SoCon play to finish in seventh place. As the No. 7 seed in the SoCon Tournament, they beat Samford in the first round,[1] upset #2 seed Wofford in the quarterfinals,[2]VMI in the semifinals,[3] before falling to UNC Greensboro in the championship game.[4]
